February Update

Well, once again I haven't been consistent with this and now all of January has gone and passed. It was a pretty boring month. I've come back to school with a new outlook on life and how to live it. Overall, I think I've been a happier person since coming back. I'm living in a single which can get lonely sometimes but is really comforting. Now I can spend my day not under the constraints of being respectful to someone else in the room. I go to bed when I want, blow dry my hair when I want (although the shorter hair doesn't require all that much), and have friends to room anytime I so desire.

Speaking of friends, I'm doing my best to branch out a bit. I love the friends I currently have but I want to make friendships with others as well. I feel bad that I haven't seen my usual friends all that much in the last semester. Because of that, once my midterms are over I'll be trying to make as many plans as possible with them. For the first time in my life, I'm actually struggling to find time to see all my friends whereas in the past I struggled to fill my time being with my friends. And I surprisingly enjoy this feeling of knowing that I can hang out with anyone I want whenever I want.

This January has also made me really hate the winter and cold weather and snow. I love being here in Vermont but I question why I chose such a cold place. All in one week I have had my first encounter with AAA and skidding off the side of the road. Thank goodness for the kind man who helped tow me out of the snow bank I found myself in today. I'm learning that I need to stay off the roads when it's snowing more than like two inches. Or actually I should just stay off the roads when it snows period.

Anyway, I'm hoping February will have more for me to write about but at the moment this is all I have to share. I'm slowly making changes in my life that will eventually make me a better person. But for the time being I need to lock myself in the heat and avoid the negative degree weather so no improvements will be made until the weather breaks double digits.
